News! Trailer Grader GT-300AUS

New model Trailer Grader from Fransgard’s has the same great advantages as the GT-DKH version. However the GT-AUS sets new standards within professional blades and has a unique construction of the horizontal angle, is set up to 20° at each side between the blade and the frame with the 2 big wheels.

This blade always levels with the road and it makes an effective ”roof construction” resulting in the water running off the road.

The reverse side of the blade has a smart Construction, which presses excess material down in the road when the driver reverse without turning the blade.

A great advantage when arriving to an asphalt road.

As extra equipment it is possible to increase the blade by 25 cm in each side, so the total width will be 350 cm and 22 cm Rippers

Fransgård Maskinfabrik A/S is a 100% Danish-owned factory that manufactures various machines for the agricultural, forestry and road sectors. The company was founded by Thorkild B. Fransgaard in 1967, when he purchased Fredbjerg Forge and Machine Shop, where he had served his apprenticeship.Eventually the forge was transformed into a factory producing agricultural machines, and today it has become an ultramodern factory with approximately 50 employees and a production area of more than 10,000 m2.

The factory’s first machine, the popular side-delivery hay rake, was developed in the late 60s using a revolutionary V-belt drive (instead of a chain) and nylon bushings. Eventually more products were developed, including bale conveyors, tedder rakes, combi-rakes, forestry winches, levellers, mowing machines and snow blowers.

In the late 70s, in collaboration with our Norwegian importer, Fransgård introduced a tractor-mounted forestry winch that hauls logs out onto passable roads. The popularity of this winch initated rapid development of the company and Fransgård is now one of the world’s leading manufacturers of forestry winches with exports worldwide.

Fransgård has always focused on international markets, and today our exports represent 80-90% of our turnover.

In March 1998, the company’s founder, Thorkild B. Fransgaard, was elected to the Danish parliament, and appointed his nephew, daily manager, Jørgen Fransgård, as the new Director.

At the turn of the year between 2005/2006 Fransgård carried out a major generation shift whereby three of the leading employees purchased 80% of the company.

The three new majority shareholders have a thorough knowledge of Fransgård Maskinfabrik.52-year-old Ivan Kristensen was hired in 1968. Jørgen Fransgård, who is six years younger, started working for the company in 1983, while the ‘baby’ of the team, thirty-five-year-old Jens Ploug, joined the company in 1995.

On 21 December 2012, departed founder Thorkild B Fransgaard, sudden death. Hereinafter the company is still 100% Danish owned by the three main shareholders. Jørgen Fransgård, Ivan Kristensen and Jens Ploug
